Tyler + Amelia | Intimate Garden Elopement

Tyler and Amelia are the perfect example of "Love Conquers All". They persevered through all of the changing restrictions and made their dream wedding happen. I know it wasn't easy for them to compromise on so many things that they wanted but it was beautiful to photograph and be a witness to their love and commitment to each other, even through the hardest of times!

Their first look took place in the Aga Khan Garden at the U of A Botanical Gardens. We couldn't have asked for better weather and there were only a few other people walking around the gardens during our time there. Tyler and Amelia shared a moment together after seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. They read letters to each other, shared a few tears, kisses, and hugs. Then we took some photos around the beautiful gardens. We ventured over to the Japanese Garden section and finished up our photos there before heading down the road to their private, backyard, ceremony.

A good family friend to the Saison's was so gracious and allowed them to host their ceremony on her property. A few of Amelia's and Tyler's siblings stayed in their vehicles and watched from a far. Their parents sat together off to the left and the rest of their family and friends joined via livestream. A group of their friends even dressed up and did a Zoom call so they could "attend" the wedding "together"!!

After their ceremony we went down the road to a gorgeous day use park. We had to walk a ways but we came out on this beautiful, open green space! Tyler and Amelia had prepackaged picnics and separate blankets for everyone to sit on. We enjoyed a few snacks and drinks and then took their family photos with the setting sun behind them!

Once family photos were over, everyone said their goodbyes to the newlyweds, except for Amelia's dad - he hung out with us so he could be their chauffeur! We took more photos in that wide open green space with the glowing sun behind them. Then on our way back to the vehicle we stopped a couple times to get the last few shots along the way.

It was all around a perfect day and I couldn't be more thankful for Tyler and Amelia and their families. They were all so kind to me and we had a lot of fun!
